Italian architect and designer Cini Boeri was one of the most important voices in post-war Italian design. After graduating from the Politecnico di Milano in 1951, she worked with Marco Zanuso before establishing her independent practice in 1963. Her work encompassed architecture, interiors and industrial design, with a particular interest in how people interact psychologically and physically with the spaces and objects around them.

Boeri approached furniture from a distinctly human perspective. Comfort, adaptability and freedom of use often took precedence over convention, resulting in designs that were both experimental and remarkably livable. Her work is represented in international museum collections, and she received the Compasso d’Oro in 1979. For Trove, her legacy connects particularly strongly through Arflex, alongside a historic design now produced by Tacchini.
