Cristina Celestino

Italian architect and designer Cristina Celestino is known for an expressive approach to contemporary design that draws from architecture, fashion, art, historic interiors and the natural world. After studying architecture at the IUAV University of Venice, she established her own practice, working across interiors, furniture, lighting, objects and creative direction.

Her work is particularly recognizable for its sophisticated use of colour, pattern, texture and unexpected historical references. Rather than simply reproducing the past, Celestino researches decorative traditions and familiar forms, reinterpreting them through a distinctly contemporary lens. She has described beginning projects by exploring a client's heritage and then building her own narrative from it.
